1.    Cookies

MPets is based in Belgium and therefore complies with Belgian legislation on cookies.

2.    Purpose and usefulness of cookies

MPets wants to inform every visitor of the platform / website as well as possible about his rights under the Belgian legislation on cookies, and about which cookies MPets is using. By using the platform/website, the visitor agrees to the use of cookies. Cookies help MPets to optimize your visit to the platform / website, to remember technical choices (for example, a language choice, a newsletter, etc.) and to show you more relevant services and offers.

4.    Management of the cookies

Make sure that cookies are enabled in your browser. To enable cookies, the following actions must be performed:

With the browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer

●    In Internet Explorer, click on 'Internet Options' in the 'Extra' menu.
●    On the 'Privacy' tab page, move the settings slider to 'low' or 'accept all cookies' (setting above 'medium' disables cookies).
●    Click on 'OK'.

With the browser - Mozilla Firefox

●    Click on 'Firefox' in the upper left corner of your browser and then click on 'Options'.
●    On the 'Privacy' tab page, make sure that the 'Inform websites that I do not want to be tracked' is not checked.
●    Click on 'OK'.

With the browser - Google Chrome

●    Click on the three dots next to the browser bar at the top of your browser window and choose 'Options'.
●    Find the 'Privacy and security' section and click on 'content settings'.
●    Click on the 'cookies' option.
●    Now select 'Allow sites to save and read cookie data'.

With the browser - Safari

●    Choose 'Preferences' from the task menu. (The task menu is located at the top right of the Safari window and looks like a gear or click on 'Safari' in the extended task menu.)
●    Click on the Privacy tab. Find the section called "Cookies and other website data"
●    Indicate that you accept cookies.


If you want to consult the MPets platform/website, it is recommended that you have cookies enabled. However, if you prefer not to do so, you are free, as a visitor, to disable the cookies via your browser settings. This can be done through the following ways:
With the browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer

●    In Internet Explorer, select the Tools button and select Internet Options.
●    Select the Privacy tab and move the slider upwards under Settings to block all cookies. Click OK.

With the browser - Mozilla Firefox
●    Click on the menu button and choose 'Preferences'.
●    Select the 'Privacy & Security' panel and go to the 'History' section.
●    Next to 'Firefox will', set to 'Use custom settings for history'.
●    Set "Accept third-party cookies" to "Never."
●    Close the "about: preferences" page. Changes you have made are automatically saved.

With the browser - Google Chrome

●    Select 'More Settings' in the browser toolbar.
●    Select 'Advanced' at the bottom of the page.
●    Select 'Content settings' under 'Privacy and security'.
●    Select 'Cookies'.
●    Select "Allow sites to save and read cookie data."

With browser - Safari

●    Choose 'Preferences' from the task menu. (The task menu is located at the top right of the Safari window and looks like a gear or click on 'Safari' in the extended task menu.)
●    Click on the Privacy tab. Find the section called "Cookies and other website data"
●    Indicate that you do not accept cookies.

5.    Rights of the visitors

Since cookies can constitute a processing of personal data, you as a data subject have the right to the lawful and secure processing of personal data. As a data subject you can exercise the following rights:

●    Right to object: If there are serious and justified reasons, you can oppose the processing of personal data.
●    Right of access: Any data subject who proves his/her identity has a right of access to the information concerning the existence or non-existence of processing of his/her personal data, as well as the purposes of this processing, the categories of data to which these processing operations relate and the categories of recipients to whom the data are provided.
●    Right to improvement: Inaccurate or incomplete personal data may be corrected or even erased at the request of the data subject.
